DirectShifts is a YC-backed healthcare staffing platform that matches clinicians with employers across the US. Our marketing team is small, senior, and quick. We ship landing pages, campaigns, and tests every week across both the clinician (B2C) and employer (B2B) sides of the business.
We need a hands-on operator to run the engine room: someone who owns the day-to-day across the website, paid channels, email, and analytics, and who keeps an eye out for what can be automated. If wiring up a Zapier flow that saves two hours of weekly busywork sounds satisfying, or you’ve wanted to rebuild a messy GTM container so attribution finally makes sense, you’ll like this one.
You’ll work with the marketing and dev teams, with regular visibility to leadership.
Paid ads: Run Google Ads end to end: campaign setup, keyword and competitor research,ad copy, monitoring, and optimization across licensing, credentialing, and telehealth. AsB2B grows, you’ll help test LinkedIn Ads.
Website & landing pages: Build and ship landing pages (UI, copy, lead forms) inWebflow/Lovable-type tools, coordinate the website task queue with the dev team, and ownthe page-to-conversion path.
Analytics & tracking: Maintain the GTM container, set up and QA conversion events forevery new page, and pull weekly and monthly performance from GA and Search Consolefor the team and leadership.
Lead & marketing data: Own the cleanliness and flow of marketing data: keep leadrecords accurate and de-duplicated, segment lists, and make sure data moves correctlyfrom forms through to dashboards and reporting.
Marketing automation: Build and maintain Zapier workflows connecting Fillout forms, dashboards, and trackers, and spot new automations that cut manual work and tighten leadtracking.
Email execution: Run B2C clinician and recruiter campaigns, the bi-weekly newsletter, and HTML and plain templates in Mailchimp. Copy is drafted with AI tools; you implementand ship.
Social & creative: Manage the social calendar, scheduling, and Canva creatives acrossLinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, keeping the brand consistent.
SEO support: Monitor indexing and organic performance, and coordinate on-page SEOacross B2B, B2C, and blog content.
3–5 years in marketing operations or performance marketing, ideally at a startup whereyou wore several hats and shipped without hand-holding. You have directly owned andmanaged paid media budgets — not coordinated with an agency. You have built andinterpreted marketing dashboards independently, not received reports from a team. B2Bmarketing experience required.
Hands-on with Webflow. You can build and ship pages independently — not just editexisting ones - including layout, CMS, and forms.
Technically capable. You pick up new tools fast, read the docs when you’re stuck, andaren’t thrown by a settings panel or a tracking tag. You understand multi-touch attributionand can explain the difference between last-click, position-based, and data-driven models. You know what UTM hygiene means and why it matters across a full marketing stack.
Hands-on with the stack: Google Ads (certification a plus), Google Tag Manager, GA4,and Search Console. You can explain campaign structure, match types, Quality Score, andbid strategy without being prompted. You understand funnel metrics end to end —impressions to MQL to SQL to closed — and can speak to where drop-off happens and why.
Automation-minded. Comfortable in Zapier (or similar), and you tend to ask what can besystematized instead of repeated by hand every week.
Comfortable with data and spreadsheets. Solid Excel/Google Sheets skills: you canbuild a clean tracker, work with formulas and pivots, and turn raw numbers into somethingthe team can read at a glance.
Fluent with AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) in your daily workflow for drafts, research, and faster execution.
Execution and judgment. You’re organized, you hit your deadlines, and you use commonsense to prioritize. We’d take a sharp, adaptable operator over a long resume with noinitiative any day.
Clear writer, comfortable coordinating with marketing, dev, and leadership over Slack.
Candidates are evaluated on live problem-solving across campaign diagnostics, funnel analysis, and attribution. Theoretical knowledge without hands-on application will not be sufficient. If youhave managed agencies or read about marketing without doing it yourself, this role is not theright fit.
B2B or B2C demand gen, or a marketplace/staffing background.

US-market or healthcare exposure.
Real ownership from day one, on a team with little bureaucracy.
A close-up view of how a YC company runs growth, with direct access to senior marketingleadership.

Fully remote, always.
